Everything created a great atmosphere. The standard single room was well-equipped, comfortable bed. Have a drink at the honesty bar.

This Church Street is not comparable. Spotless room, comfy bed, delicious breakfast! We stayed in a suite which was large and wonderful. Theo's, where you can eat, is within short walking distance of the hotel.
Street was noisy. Hair in the room.

Camberwell Leisure Centre was in the immediate vicinity. A good base for exploring London. We do recommend it as we loved this hotel...

Staff who were very friendly by London Standards
Room too small, no bathroom, no tea / coffee making set in room, poor location & very noisy street

The Hotel was wonderful, very interesting decor, excellent staff, nice breakfast, good location and we even had fresh flowers in the room. Attention had been paid to the smaller details, hand painted jam jars at the breakfast table and pottery crockery, not the standard hotel issue.

The Staff were very friendly, the hotel room was very excellent, it wasn't too close to the city so you didn't have to listen to heavy traffic, but close enough that it was a quick 10 minute ride to the nearest subway stop. The breakfast was one of the best i have ever experienced with fresh organic orange juice, bread and home made jams just to name a few. I would recommend it very highly to anyone who was looking for something a little bit different for not too much money.
nothing it was excellent

Far from downtown London and from tube. Took me a while to find out about the different bus lines...

We fealt very welcome and the hotel was very clean, which was really important to me. Catching the next bus from the Oval tube station didn't prove to be a problem at all. Buses are leaving approx. every 10 minutes. The room was very comfortable and DVDs could be rented for free. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Air conditioning was also available on hot days. I also recommend the Indian restaurant/take away next door.
We had a room facing the front road and it was pretty loud when opening the window. No problem with closed windows though.

Cold water trickled. No parking available. Didn't like the area of Camberwell.

Really good tapas restaurant downstairs; good breakfast served in a very friendly way; excellent toiletries; small problem with shower fixed the very next day
Not much storage space and a few more hooks and hangers would have been welcome, all the more so if I hadn't been on my own! No lift might be an issue for some people if you're on the third floor - quite steep narrow stairs.
